Our Client has an ongoing portfolio of work that includes data centres, large scale residential, student accommodation, commercial, hotel & leisure, and healthcare projects ranging from €20M - €100M. The role is based in Dublin with projects located in either Dublin or Cork, and the role reports to the Director of Project Management.

Working days / time and Salary
5 day working week and 22 days’ annual leave.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the cost control and commercial management of assigned project(s).
- Responsible for managing teams of quantity surveying / commercial managers and for the performance of achieving defined deliverables.
- Identify commercial risk and opportunities for the benefit of the project, the recording of information in a risk register, and the review with the project team at defined intervals.
- Lead the co-ordination of the quantity surveying and /or commercial manager(s) team on any matter relating to cost control and cost management.
- Responsible for the organisation’s compliance with contractual obligations and for the close-out of non-compliance(s).
- Responsible for dispute avoidance procedures and the co-ordination of a claims management system.
- Responsible for systematic approach to the identification, assessment and control of issues that may lead to change, and the implementation of effective change control.
- Reporting on the commercial activity status, both internally and externally, within an agreed format and with the latest actual and forecast information / data.
- Contract administration and management, and in particular, proactive engagement with stakeholders and the promotion of mutual co-operation and trust.
- Responsible for certifying interim payment applications and final accounts.
Essential experience & qualifications
- Educated to degree level, whether Bachelor or Master.
- Min 5 years’ experience as a quantity surveyor and / or commercial manager gained working for a developer, cost consultancy, and / or project management services provider.
- MRICS (or RICS APC considered).
- Client-side background.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- An excellent communicator, both written and oral, to both technical and non-technical persons. Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project
- Entitled to work in the EU.
Desirable experience & qualifications
- BSc in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Building / Construction Economics.
- Post-graduate studies in Law, ADR, etc.
- Experience working in sectors such data centres, residential, commercial, student accommodation, hotels & leisure, retail, and healthcare and / or retails projects would be advantageous.
- Experience working with RIAI and design & build forms of contract.
- Experience working within ISO 9001:2015.
- Previous experience working in Ireland.
